I believe that integrating into a team, embracing its culture and working collectively toward shared objectives are essential foundations for long-term success. While continuous learning, discipline and attention to detail remain at the heart of my work, I am equally committed to creating positive relationships that help both goalkeepers and the entire team perform at their highest level.
Representing a national team requires much more than conducting goalkeeper training sessions. It involves identifying the right goalkeeper profile for the team's playing philosophy, preparing players to perform under international pressure and ensuring that every goalkeeper is ready to contribute when called upon.
During his assignments with the Mauritania National Team and currently with the Burkina Faso National Team, Ilyes Mzoughi has been responsible for the complete development of the goalkeeping department, working closely with the head coach and technical staff to build consistency, confidence and performance.
His responsibilities include evaluating goalkeepers throughout the season, analysing their club performances, assessing their technical, tactical, physical and psychological readiness, and contributing to the selection process for international camps and official competitions.
Beyond selection, his mission is to continuously improve every goalkeeper through personalised coaching programmes, technical correction, tactical awareness, decision-making under pressure, communication with the defensive line and leadership on the field. Each training session is designed to reproduce the intensity and situations encountered during international matches.
Working within national teams also requires the ability to maximise player development during short preparation camps. Every session must deliver measurable progress while maintaining consistency with the tactical objectives defined by the national team's coaching staff.
His philosophy is based on continuous performance improvement, objective evaluation and creating an environment where every goalkeeper competes, progresses and remains ready to represent his country at the highest international level.

Throughout his career in Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa, Ilyes Mzoughi has worked in different football environments while adapting his methodology to each club's philosophy, objectives and playing style.
His responsibilities extend far beyond goalkeeper training. He is involved in planning the season, designing progressive development programmes, preparing goalkeepers for every opponent, analysing performances, managing recovery and maintaining consistency throughout the entire competitive calendar.
Daily collaboration with head coaches, assistant coaches, analysts, fitness coaches and medical staff ensures that every goalkeeper is prepared technically, tactically, physically and mentally to perform under pressure.
Whether developing young talents or working with experienced international goalkeepers, his objective remains the same: build confident decision-makers capable of making the difference when the team needs them most.
Before becoming an international goalkeeper coach, Ilyes Mzoughi spent many years on the field as a professional goalkeeper. This experience shaped his understanding of every technical action, tactical decision and psychological challenge that goalkeepers face throughout their careers.
Having experienced the pressure of competition, the demands of daily training and the responsibility of protecting the team's goal, he understands the realities of the position from the inside. This practical knowledge enables him to build strong relationships with his goalkeepers based on credibility, trust and shared experience.
